Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Locallhost.im is designed as a lightweight localhost debugging and typo-recovery tool. This policy explains what the site processes, what it does not ask for, and how to contact us about privacy questions.

Information Processed in Your Browser

The URL builder, port lookup, and typo fixer are browser-side tools. Values such as protocol, host, port, path, and query string are used to build or explain a local URL in the page interface.

These tools do not require an account and do not need passwords, API keys, cookies, authorization headers, private tokens, or .env values.

Request Inspection Data

The request inspection feature calls a same-origin endpoint on Locallhost.im. It may display information visible to this site from the request, including:

Sensitive headers such as cookies, authorization headers, and common API token headers are filtered before the response is displayed.

Information We Do Not Collect

Analytics

Locallhost.im uses Pageview analytics from https://app.pageview.app/js/script.js with the domain value locallhost.im for basic pageview measurement. This helps understand which public pages are used and whether the site is working as expected.

The analytics script is separate from the request inspection tool. The request inspection tool does not use a third-party IP lookup API and does not send your localhost URL builder input to an external IP service.

Server Logs

The hosting provider may keep standard access logs for security, abuse prevention, reliability, and debugging. Locallhost.im does not display those logs publicly.

The request inspection endpoint returns a live response to your browser and is configured with Cache-Control: no-store.

Cookies and Browser Storage

The site does not use tracking cookies. The template may store a theme preference in browser storage so dark mode or light mode can be remembered on the same browser.

Links such as http://localhost/, http://127.0.0.1/, and http://localhost:3000/ point to the device that opens them. They are not pages hosted by Locallhost.im.

If you open a local URL from this site, your browser attempts to connect to your own device or local network according to normal browser behavior.

Contact Email

If you email contact@locallhost.im, your email address and message are used to read and respond to your request. Do not send secrets, credentials, private logs, or full request headers that contain sensitive values.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest update.
